Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Business Intelligence experience is an asset.
  • Experience with manufacturing data sources like MES, SCADA, ERP systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of real-time data acquisition and historian systems.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Support the Central Digitalization team in designing, developing, and deploying a Cloud data analytics platform tailored for battery manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (automation, MES, SAP, Cloud Data Analytics, IT, Operations) to gather requirements and develop analytics and dashboards.
  • Lead planning and coordination of deployment tasks with stakeholders.
  • Collect, clean, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources related to manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Analyze trends and patterns to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
  • Work with business leaders to define KPIs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

About The Role

PowerCo Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets in support of developing a world-class manufacturing process. You will work with the Central Digitization team based in Salzgitter, Germany, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise solutions such as MES, Cloud Analytics platform, and ERP. You will represent the St. Thomas site to communicate local requirements and changes, playing a key role in deploying global solutions and maintaining them. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, develop reporting solutions, and deliver actionable insights. The Analyst will ensure master data consistency and provide regular analytics and reports to the head of digitalization in St. Thomas.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work structure, allowing employees to work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the Central Digitalization team in designing, developing, and deploying a Cloud data analytics platform tailored for battery manufacturing.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (automation, MES, SAP, Cloud Data Analytics platform, IT, Operations) to gather requirements and develop analytics and dashboards.
  3. Lead planning and coordination of deployment tasks with stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate with third-party suppliers on relevant tasks and interfaces.
  5. Collect, clean, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources related to manufacturing processes.
  6. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  7. Analyze trends and patterns to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
  8. Work with business leaders to define KPIs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  9. Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
  10. Perform A/B testing, statistical modeling, root cause analysis, and predictive analytics where applicable.
  11. Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  12. Continuously improve data collection, pipelines, and analysis processes.
  13. Support the development of production data models for digital solutions.
  14. Ensure compliance with governance, data privacy, and security standards during rollout and operations.
  15. Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to protect digital assets.
  16. Share insights and learnings within PowerCo, including from initial acceptance and testing phases.
  17. Maintain documentation such as system architecture, data flow diagrams, configurations, and changes.
  18. Seek continuous improvement of the data analytics strategy with the central team.
  19. Conduct training or demonstration sessions for stakeholders.
  20. Implement post-deployment changes and troubleshooting.
