Job summary

Synapse ITS is seeking a detail-oriented engineering co-op in Victoria to support our manufacturing and product development teams. The role focuses on change control, quality, and documentation accuracy, bridging design and production.

You will work with engineers, production staff and supply chain to implement changes and uphold quality standards. You will gain hands-on experience with ECO/ECN processes, BOM communications, and documentation workflows while contributing to product readiness and

Qualifications

• Enrolled in mechanical or electrical engineering program.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering change processes (ECOs / ECNs).
• Prepare and file change order documentation.
• Communicate BOM updates to manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Assess impact of design changes on cost, inventory and risk.
• Support first article builds and early production runs.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, traceable and up-to-date.
• Assist in quality inspection and problem reporting.
