Job summary

Jobtailor in Stratford, Ontario is seeking a hands-on Manual Production Operator to set up and run manual production processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and quantity standards are met.

You will read production prints, record data in routers and IMS, and may train other operators. Candidates must have Grade 12, be ITAR compliant, and able to pass a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret production prints.
• Proficient computer skills to access and follow production procedures.
• Must pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

Job description

Manual Production Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all required manual production processes
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by handheld and/or hand operated equipment
• Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work
• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems
• Required to train other operators as needed
• May be required to perform other manual operations in other departments

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 diploma
• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity
• Ability to read and interpret production prints
• Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work
• Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
