Job summary

Technica Mining seeks a motivated Manual Bolter to join our Timmins, ON operations, reporting to the site superintendent. You will perform pre-op inspections and operate manual bolting equipment in underground conditions, ensuring safety and compliance.

Requirements include at least 2 years with jackleg/stoppers, the Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core or equivalent, ability to read mine plans, and willingness to work at multiple underground sites. Benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Underground hard rock mining common core (U0000-U0012) or equivalent provincial designation.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with a jackleg and stopper.
• Ability to read mine plans and specifications for underground mining.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment testing.
• Willing to work at any of Technica's underground mine sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections and safe operation of manual bolting equipment (jacklegs/stoppers).
• Inspect underground headings, scale loose rocks, follow procedures and safety policies.
• Report safety concerns or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with mechanical installations and ground support maintenance (air, water, ventilation).

About the Role:

Currently, Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Manual Bolters to join our team in Timmins, ON reporting to the site superintendent.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing pre-operational inspections and ensuring safe operation of manual bolting equipment such as jacklegs/stoppers
• Inspecting existing underground headings and scaling loose rocks while working according to work procedures and company policies within a safety conscious environment
• Reporting any safety concerns or unsafe conditions
• Assisting with other support duties such as mechanical installations; maintenance of air, water and ventilation; and ground support

Qualifications:

• Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000 to U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a jackleg and stopper
• Ability to read mine plans and specifications for underground mining
• Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
• Must be willing to work at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at
