Mantles Restaurant Server - Winter Seasonal

Mantles Restaurant & Lounge, located in the lower lobby of the Sun Peaks Grand and the heart of the village core, welcomes hotel guests, visitors to Sun Peaks Resort and the local community. Servers play a vital role in the dining room. They are the point of contact for the guests, make tailored recommendations, provide elevated levels of hospitality, facilitate memorable dining experiences and let their personalities shine. Servers work all meal periods; they ensure that guests’ needs are anticipated and that their dining experience is truly effortless. They work with the rest of the FOH and culinary teams to provide an exceptional guest experience delivered and maintained across the service while caring for, contributing to, and nurturing positive workplace culture. The candidate best suited to the role is an accomplished communicator and multi-tasker, knows how to drive the guest experience, is passionate about food, drink, wine, and excellent service, and will work to assist the operation by running food, seating guests, answering calls, and supporting the rest of the team, is compliant with Health & Safety, and most of all thrives in the mountains and all they have to offer. Compensation Information: $17.85 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work involves handling loads between 10kg and 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • 2-3 Years Serving Experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Service/Operations:

  • Responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.
    • Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Standard of Service.
    • Places orders, delivers food & drinks, and provides guest the bill in a timely manner.
    • Shows a passion for hospitality, service, and food.
    • Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate.
    • Adheres to Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
    • Recommends menu items and can suggest beverage pairings.

Guest Experience:

  • Deliver an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets.
    • Develops strong guest relationships by understanding dietary restrictions/needs and can offer menu recommendations.
    • Determines & ensures exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
    • Handles guest concerns with the support of the Management team.
    • Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks promoting internal and external events.

Team Commitment:

  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration.
    • Works closely with the kitchen team to improve communication between departments.
    • Desires to be part of a team and contribute as such.
    • Assists in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Hotel.
