We are looking to hire a Bartender, a seasoned hospitality enthusiast with a taste for a mountain adventure, to complement our existing team and play a vital role in creating positive experiences for our guests. The candidate best suited to the role is an accomplished communicator and multi-tasker who knows how to drive the guest experience and is passionate about food, drink, wine, and excellent service. They are experienced in producing cocktails and have solid working knowledge. They will work to assist the operation by running food, seating guests, answering phone calls, and supporting the rest of the team. The individual is compliant with Health & Safety, and most of all, they thrive in the mountains and all they have to offer. Compensation Information: $17.85 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work involves handling loads between 10kg and 20kg; both in an indoor and outdoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Primary Responsibilities:

Service/Operation:

  • Responsible for providing exceptional dining and bar experience from start to finish.
    • Prepares beverages for guests and the service team.
    • Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Standard of Service.
    • Places orders, makes and delivers drinks & food, and provides the guests with the bill in a timely manner.
    • Keeps the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times.
    • Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies.
    • Adheres to Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
    • Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate.

Guest Experience:

  • Delivers an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets.
    • Determines & ensures exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
    • Interacts with guests while taking orders and making recommendations.
    • Handles guest concerns with the support of the management team.
    • Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks including the promotion of internal and external events.

Team Commitment:

  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration.
    • Communicates with all members of the front of house team to ensure seamless guest service
    • Prepares beverages for the serving staff.
    • Works closely with the kitchen team to improve communication between departments.
    • Assists in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the Guest and the Hotel.
