Job summary

Sun Peaks Grand Hotel in Canada’s mountain resort invites a Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. Bring 2-3 years of bartending, Serving it Right, and a passion for cocktails, wine, and guest service.

This role runs beverages, helps with service, and supports the team in a dynamic mountain environment. You’ll work at a leading ski resort with perks like season lift passes, dining and retail discounts, and family rates.

Qualifications

• 2-3 Years Bartending experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dining and bar experience from start to finish.
• Prepare beverages for guests and the service team.
• Follow Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage standards; deliver drinks and food, and present the bill promptly.
• Keep the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in F&B outlets as business volumes dictate.
• Deliver an elevated guest experience; interact with guests and make recommendations.
• Handle guest concerns with management support.
• Act as an ambassador for the hotel and Sun Peaks events.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams for seamless service.
• Assist in emergencies with prompt decisions for guest and hotel safety.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Bartender, a seasoned hospitality enthusiast with a taste for a mountain adventure, to complement our existing team and play a vital role in creating positive experiences for our guests. The candidate best suited to the role is an accomplished communicator and multi-tasker who knows how to drive the guest experience and is passionate about food, drink, wine, and excellent service. They are experienced in producing cocktails and have solid working knowledge. They will work to assist the operation by running food, seating guests, answering phone calls, and supporting the rest of the team. The individual is compliant with Health & Safety, and most of all, they thrive in the mountains and all they have to offer. Compensation Information:

$18.25 per hour

Physical Requirement:

Medium; work involves handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Primary Responsibilities:

Service/Operation:

• Responsible for providing exceptional dining and bar experience from start to finish.
  • Prepares beverages for guests and the service team.
  • Follows the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel Food and Beverage Standard of Service.
  • Places orders, makes and delivers drinks & food, and provides the guests with the bill in a timely manner.
  • Keeps the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times.
  • Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies.
  • Adheres to Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
  • Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate.

Guest Experience:

• Delivers an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Outlets.
  • Determines & ensures exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Interacts with guests while taking orders and making recommendations.
  • Handles guest concerns with the support of the management team.
  • Acts as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks including the promotion of internal and external events.

Team Commitment:

• Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration.
  • Communicates with all members of the front of house team to ensure seamless guest service
  • Prepares beverages for the serving staff.
  • Works closely with the kitchen team to improve communication between departments.
  • Assists in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the Guest and the Hotel.
