Job summary

Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to lead events on-site, coordinating Food & Beverage for functions and ensuring flawless service from setup to teardown.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a supervisory role in a hotel environment, with Serving it Right certification, strong wine knowledge, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of all Food and Beverage for functions held in the Hotel and all details pertaining to functions being held in banquet and meeting rooms while providing an exceptional banquet experience from start to finish.
• Ensure service staff is on schedule and motivated.
• Control of banquet china, glassware, cutlery, linen and all equipment.
• Oversee the set-up, service and tear down of each event.
• Assist Banquet Manager with completion of monthly inventory.
• Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Deliver an elevated experience for guests within the Banquet department.
• Ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Liaise with the Banquet Manager, Sales Coordinator and the client to ensure needs are met.
• Ensure event execution is on time from start to finish.
• Address guests concerns and bring to Banquet Manager or Event Organizers attention.
• Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks for internal and external events.
• Dedicated to creating a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration.
• Desire to be part of a team and contribute.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Briefing staff on event information.
• Implement duty list to ensure staff responsibilities are clear.

Compensation Information

  • Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks with the ability to promote internal and external events.
