The Managing Director, Digital Marketing, Personalization and Delivery is responsible for integrating marketing strategies with advanced technology solutions to drive customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business growth. This role leads BMO.com end-to-end, creating a world-class personalized experience for our customers, and delivering that experience through the stack, harnessing a group of talented digital marketers, personalization experts, and engineers, with a best-of-breed ecosystem of Marketing Technology (MarTech) tools, data, and intelligence. This leader will own the strategy and execution of our priorities including delivering scaled personalization across customer touchpoints, supporting efficient customer acquisition and share of wallet growth, and leading digital engagement and usage of mobile banking features that help customers make real financial progress. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for the strategy and execution of our multi-year MarTech modernization roadmap, including completing the migration to our enterprise Content Management System (CMS).
- Manages a team of marketing, personalization, and technology experts to deliver desired business results.
- Provides strategic leadership, guidance, and highly specialized knowledge/advice to direct reports, internal customers, and senior/executive management in Marketing, Technology, and Personalization.
- Champions data-driven marketing and personalization initiatives across BMO-owned channels (BMO.com/mobile) to drive measurable customer and business value leveraging marketing, technology, and data tools, and best practices.
- Delivers a competitive public website that drives sales, supports customers to self-serve, and represents BMO’s brand, enabling scaled personalization across BMO-owned channels.
- Provides technology oversight for marketing platforms, including content management, automation, and release tools and practices.
- Plays a pivotal role in expanding BMO.com by focusing on delivering strong technological marketing tactics, leading a team in a complex, dynamic environment, and partnering proactively across the organization.
- Builds and nurtures strong partnerships across the bank (e.g., design, product, marketing, technology, risk, legal, compliance) to enable customer, business, and enterprise objectives.
- Promotes and supports the Bank’s risk culture, ensuring employees understand their accountability for risk activities, fostering open communication and effective challenge, and leading by example.
- Ensures compliance with the Bank’s Risk Appetite framework and all regulatory requirements.
- Models driving simplicity and productivity improvements for continuous enhancement of key measures.
- Activates a winning culture aligned with Purpose, igniting engagement and executing strategy effectively.
- Fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating an inclusive environment by eliminating barriers.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in MarTech, Digital Marketing, and Performance Marketing, with a proven track record of delivering results (preferably in financial services).
- Deep expertise in managing MarTech stacks including CMS, marketing automation tools, data analytics platforms, customer data platforms, and technical delivery including web development, API integrations, and cloud solutions.
- Excellent organization and project planning skills, with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven success in achieving/exceeding objectives and delivering industry-leading results within budget and time constraints.
- Ability to lead change in a dynamic environment.
Please note the base salary range for this position is CDN $165,000.00 to CDN $195,000.00.Salary & Pay Type:
