that relate to self-determination, reconciliation, regional and community development, and sustainable development (for mining, energy and infrastructure projects). Given the cross-cutting nature of these topics, there will be opportunities to expand the scope of work to other regions of Canada (e.g., Yukon, Northwest Territories, British Columbia), should this be of interest.

Managing Consultants at ERM lead and contribute to successful consulting engagements, actively network and market to support ERM’s commercial objectives, and contribute to the internal growth and development of our team, systems, and culture. Managing Consultants in our Sustainable and Community Development team are management consultants that work in multi-party environments (involving Indigenous organizations, public government, and companies). These consultants often operate at a strategic level, lead multidisciplinary teams, and support integration of ERM services. Entrepreneurialism and growing a strong internal network are key success for Managing Consultants at ERM.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing all aspects of project delivery, including building trusting relationships with clients, developing methods to conduct work, conceptualizing deliverables to meet client needs, leading project teams, driving execution, and conducting standard project management activities (i.e., developing work plans, utilizing project controls to manage scope, schedule, and budget).
  • Contributing to ERM’s commercial growth, including establishing and maintaining internal and external networks, leading the development of proposals, identifying and acting on new project opportunities with existing and prospective clients, testing and exploring new ideas with colleagues and clients to support market development, and contributing to thought leadership.
  • Contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment by upholding ERM’s values, implementing ERM’s policies, supporting and growing our people, implementing ERM Canada’s Reconciliation Strategy, and positively influencing ERM’s culture.

Experience and Attributes Required

  • Previous consulting experience, and a track record of delivering services in the management consulting portfolio (e.g., strategy, planning, policy, engagement, facilitation, negotiation, program design, implementation, risk management, organizational effectiveness).
  • Master’s level degree in a discipline related to sustainable and community development, natural resource governance, sustainability, or Indigenous studies. Or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Inuit Nunangat.
  • Ability to thrive based on feedback, ongoing learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills to help clients and project teams navigate complexity.
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive writing that can be adapted to different contexts and audiences (e.g., communities, senior executives, etc.).
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills to develop a professional network within ERM and with clients.
  • Strong initiative, an ability to anticipate and problem solve, and excellent prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable community development, modern treaties, natural resource governance, socio-economic development, sustainable resource development, collaborative processes, and northern co-management regimes.
