As a Workday consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing a broad range of consulting services across various Workday applications. You will provide consulting services to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of Workday applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Manager, Workday Consulting, Record to Report ,you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Lead the implementation of Workday Finance solutions
Achieve successful project delivery and uphold quality standards
Refine financial processes to benefit clients
Manage client relationships and account expectations
Utilize knowledge in Workday to drive process improvements
Guide teams in strategic planning and execution and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Analyze detailed finance & accounting, including payroll accounting processes to identify improvement opportunities in the following areas :
Operational accounting (AP, AR, Cash, WIP, Payroll)
Period close and consolidation
Fixed asset management
Finance integrations
Accounting Center
Reporting and analytics : operational, finance, and HR reporting
Simplify complex processes to improve reliability and achieve cost and cycle time reductions, as well as managing work streams of a complex project to implement improvements.
Identify and address client needs : actively participating in client discussions and meetings; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
Contribute to innovation initiatives to support modernization of the finance functions powered by Workday
Utilization of PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project), data analysis and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI)
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Minimum Degree Required : Bachelor’s Degree
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or higher-level studies in accounting and financial management preferred
Minimum Year(s) of Experience : 6 years
Oral and written proficiency in English and French required
Preferred experience with ERP systems solutions, including Workday, SAP, Oracle
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
Consulting experience with demonstrated experience in record to report functions via system implementation
Good understanding of process improvement, chart of accounts design / management, and applications of at least one of the following focus areas : finance transformation and financial systems optimization.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization
When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset
