Job description

These individuals analyze client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilization of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Manager, Finance, Workday Consulting, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the implementation of Workday Finance solutions
  • Achieve successful project delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Refine financial processes to benefit clients
  • Manage client relationships and account expectations
  • Utilize knowledge in Workday to drive process improvements
  • Guide teams in strategic planning and execution, and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Analyze detailed finance & accounting processes, including payroll accounting, to identify improvement opportunities in areas such as operational accounting (AP, AR, Cash, WIP, Payroll), period close and consolidation, fixed asset management, finance integrations, accounting center, and reporting and analytics
  • Simplify complex processes to improve reliability and achieve cost and cycle time reductions, managing work streams of complex projects
  • Identify and address client needs through active participation in discussions and meetings; manage engagements with concise, accurate documentation, balancing project economics with unforeseen issues
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives supporting modernization of finance functions powered by Workday
  • Utilize PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), data analysis, and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI)

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve problems

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or higher-level studies in accounting and financial management preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Preferred experience with ERP systems solutions, including Workday, SAP, Oracle
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working with diverse perspectives
  • Consulting experience with record-to-report functions via system implementation
  • Good understanding of process improvement, chart of accounts design/management, and applications in finance transformation and systems optimization
  • Effective communication skills across various organizational levels
  • Fluency in French required for Quebec-based opportunities; asset outside Quebec

Salary range for BC region: $103,000 - $171,800 CAD annually, plus potential bonuses. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
