*Position Summary:*Galaxy Freightline Inc. is hiring a dedicated and experienced *Warehouse Manager* to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations at our *Calgary Terminal*. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight handling, inventory control, and team leadership within the transportation or logistics industry.This position plays a key role in maintaining service standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. *Interviews will be conducted online.**Key Responsibilities:** Manage daily operations of the warehouse including receiving, loading/unloading, storage, and dispatch.* Supervise a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and yard personnel.* Ensure proper handling of freight, packaging, and load balancing for both *LTL and FTL* shipments.* Monitor inventory accuracy and perform routine cycle counts.* Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions at all times.* Enforce company policies, health & safety regulations, and security procedures.* Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to align warehouse activity with trip planning and delivery schedules.* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.*Qualifications:** *Minimum 5 years* of hands-on warehouse management experience (preferably in freight, transportation, or logistics).* Proven team leadership and staff scheduling experience.* Strong knowledge of freight handling, palletizing, load securement, and cross-docking.* Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, forklift safety).* Basic computer proficiency and experience using WMS or TMS systems.* Forklift license/certification is required.*Preferred Attributes:** Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.* Strong communication skills for team coordination and reporting.* Flexible with work hours, especially during peak seasons or urgent shipments.*Perks:** Competitive salary based on experience* Growth opportunities within a fast-growing transportation company* Supportive team and collaborative work environment* Safety-focused and well-maintained facilityJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Disability insurance* Extended health care* On-site parking* Paid time off* Vision careAbility to commute/relocate:* Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:* Secondary School (required)Experience:* Warehouse distribution: 5 years (required)Licence/Certification:* Forklift Licence (required)Work Location: In person
