A leading automotive company is seeking an Engineering Group Manager for its Virtualization and SIL Integration team. Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to the office at least three days per week.
The Role
The Engineering Group Manager of the Virtualization and SIL Integration team within the Software Defined Vehicle – Embedded Platforms organization will lead a technical team of Software Engineers specializing in virtualization and SIL integration. The role involves designing, building, and deploying Virtual Test Environments (CoSimulation Environments) at system and vehicle levels for automotive embedded software and calibration development. The EGM will work closely with a global team responsible for delivering CoSimulation environments for application and infrastructure software, as well as calibration development. Leadership responsibilities include managing GM direct and contract resources across multiple scrum teams, utilizing agile methodologies to implement virtualization strategies. Essential experience includes software-centric vehicle and system virtualization, industry standards (FMU, SSP), cloud computing architecture, virtual ECU development processes, embedded controls systems, and strong leadership skills. The role involves overseeing the development, release, and deployment of virtual test assets and collaborating with global virtualization, systems, and user teams.
