Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers, and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About the team and the role :

We are seeking a motivated and experienced UX Research Ops Manager to drive end-to-end operations for the UX research team. This includes managing our research vendor relationships, a small team of in-house recruiters and moderators, and our technical ops lead. Our UX researchers guide design partners and cross-functional teams at eBay to discover, interpret, and act upon insights and opportunities in an inspiring way. They rely on a strong Ops team to deliver the right users into research software on time, within budget, and in legally compliant ways.

The ideal candidate is a people person, a qualitative research expert, and a systems thinker. You are a hands-on coach passionate about process documentation and attention to detail. You will work with vendors to find new methods and collaborate with in-house engineering teams to develop sophisticated solutions. You will balance goals such as inclusivity versus accurate sample representation and user privacy versus demographic data collection. You will continually seek ways to improve both the participant experience and the researcher experience, enhancing everything from intake forms to AI-enabled video editing. You are someone who moves fast and drives action, with a proven track record.

What you will accomplish :

Manage the end-to-end recruiting pipeline and process

  • Own vendor relationships for third-party panel providers, SaaS research platforms, and incentive providers
  • Oversee recruiting CMS systems, enforce user contact governance, and ensure GDPR, PII, and CAN-SPAM compliance in partnership with legal and privacy teams
  • Manage partnerships with in-house AI procurement and legal teams to increase operational velocity
  • Own all post-research processes, including data warehousing, AI-enabled repositories, and data hygiene
  • Contribute new ideas and processes to UX Research Ops at eBay

What you will bring :

8 years of experience in research operations

  • 5 years of research recruiting experience across quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research
  • 2 years of management experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume research ops department and automating repetitive tasks
  • Understanding of database query/management, statistical sampling, and research techniques
  • Expertise in CMS and SaaS platforms, particularly Qualtrics
  • Understanding of PII, GDPR, and CMS best practices in a global research environment
  • Ability to manage and allocate budgets
