Join Foresters Financial as the Manager, U.S. Product Marketing, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies and communications. Reporting to the AVP of Product and Distribution Marketing NA, you'll support our independent salesforce and help drive sales and engagement.

This role is ideal for a proactive, results-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset are essential for success.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities


Marketing Leadership

  • Strategic campaigns: Develop and execute campaigns aligned with top-level departmental KPIs, such as maintaining and increasing our active producer base and surpassing application submission volumes in support of the U.S. sales plan
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to brief marketing—navigating differing viewpoints, gaining consensus, and ensuring marketing initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives and effectively integrated across all channels


Content Creation

  • Comprehensive content plans: Develop and implement content plans that drive engagement and conversions, supporting marketing goals
  • Workflow management and optimization: Navigate the intricacies of copy decks and champion them as an essential tool, ensuring efficient workflow management and enabling the team to handle high volume, fast-paced content requests
  • High-quality execution: Collaborate closely with designers, writers, and other creative professionals to produce compelling, high-impact marketing materials that resonate with target audiences


Project Management

  • Timely delivery: Ensure project completion within set deadlines and budgets, proactively reassessing workflows and integration points with stakeholders and marketing colleagues as needed
  • Resource management: Efficiently allocate resources and manage workloads to ensure the team can meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant legislative, regulatory, and internal policy requirements


Team Management

  • Leadership and mentorship: Lead and mentor a diverse team of marketing specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment through ongoing coaching, feedback and growth opportunities
  • Performance excellence: Set clear performance expectations and provide constructive and actionable feedback to ensure team members are meeting their goals
  • Positive culture: Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement


Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Synergy and alignment: Build and promote synergy between stakeholders from Sales, Product Development, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to ensure cohesive and effective marketing plans that align with overall business goals
  • Clear communication: Act as a liaison between the marketing team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of marketing objectives and initiatives
  • Relationship building: Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate collaboration and support for marketing success


Performance Measurement

  • Data-driven insights: Develop and assess reporting metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize marketing strategies
  • Continuous optimization: Gather and incorporate feedback and analytics from stakeholders and data sources to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and impact


Key Qualifications

  • Education (minimum required): Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Experience (minimum required): 5+ years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in the financial services or life insurance industry is highly preferred
  • Adaptable and resilient in an energetic environment, embracing evolving priorities and shifting plans with ease and confidence
  • Demonstrated understanding of B2B and B2B2C marketing dynamics, including how to engage and empower independent salesforces while crafting strategies that resonate with both distributors and end consumers
  • Leadership skills and experience in coaching and developing a team
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with solid project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, in a fast-moving and evolving landscape
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding of email marketing tools, i.e., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp or equivalent, content management systems, i.e., Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, and analytics and performance measurement tools, i.e., Google Analytics, Looker, Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience in campaign performance tracking methods such as UTM tagging, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization
  • Previous experience using project management/workflow tools, i.e., Asana, Monday.com, Trello, etc.
