Our Vancouver US Corporate Tax practice assists organizations in determining the most effective US corporate structure from a tax perspective—be it subsidiary, branch, or joint-venture partnership. We also help clients choose efficient methods of capitalization and financing, and support them with US tax compliance requirements.

We’re seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who values relationships in business and community, to join our growing practice and build their personal brand as a trusted business advisor in our community.

What you will do

  • Participate in a broad range of complex US tax work, requiring analysis, assessment, and quantification.
  • Lead the preparation and review of US corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients, and US tax provisions for public and private companies.
  • Advise on planning opportunities and tax minimization strategies.
  • Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide support and mentorship for staff professional development.
  • Collaborate with team members to attract new work to the firm.
  • Research and analyze various US and cross-border tax issues.
  • Maintain and manage client files to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tax within a public accounting firm.
  • US CPA designation, Enrolled Agent, or US Masters of Tax.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Excellent client service skills, with an understanding of client needs and business.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Capability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a growth mindset.

The expected base salary range for this position is $85,500 to $128,500, with potential for bonuses. Salary offers are based on location, skills, competencies, and qualifications. KPMG also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
