Job Summary

The Manager, High Risk Client Management (HRCM) supports the Senior Manager, HRCM by providing direction and executing core risk decisions related to high-risk clients. This includes risk assessment, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and managing the onboarding and review processes to mitigate financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risks at RBC, using a risk-based approach. The role also involves professional development to ensure team knowledge remains current and comprehensive, aligning with AML/CTF regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct HRC EDD risk assessments for supported units, ensuring adherence to Global Standards for Client Risk Management and EDD.
  2. Collaborate with FIU, Insights & Analytics, and Global AML Compliance to coordinate risk assessments and escalate issues appropriately.
  3. Manage HRC processes, including onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring regulatory timeframes are met.
  4. Foster an environment that attracts and retains high-performing employees.
  5. Support team performance through capability building, coaching, and performance management.
  6. Participate in team discussions, testing new initiatives, and process improvements.
  7. Work with stakeholders to escalate issues within defined timelines per RBC policies.
  8. Maintain high service standards and client care through effective communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Crimes, AML/Fraud to prevent misuse of RBC’s services for money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Experience in financial and money laundering crimes, AML compliance, investigations, or related regulatory areas.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAMS certification is a plus.
