The Team

The Office of the Registrar supports TMU's vision by managing systems and processes related to student admission, records, scheduling, and academic policies, serving as a key resource for the university community.

The Opportunity

The Manager, University Scheduling and Exams, will oversee the planning and execution of faculty and student course schedules, final exams, and facility scheduling, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with university priorities. Responsibilities include managing scheduling systems, analyzing research data related to scheduling and examinations, and overseeing the unit's budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of the Scheduling and Examinations unit, ensuring effective support for faculty, students, and departments.
  • Oversee production of course and exam schedules, maximizing facility use and balancing stakeholder needs.
  • Research and analyze scheduling data, prepare reports on classroom utilization, and support decision-making.
Qualifications

Candidates should provide a cover letter and resume demonstrating how they meet the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree, preferably in business administration with focus on data analytics or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in post-secondary education with scheduling responsibilities.
  • Experience developing business processes, strategic planning, and managing complex situations.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems and data analysis tools.
  • Experience managing staff in unionized environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under pressure, and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Ontario, Canadian, and international post-secondary systems, policies, and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Peoplesoft, Google Suite, and related systems.
Additional Information

Position Number: 10001598. Reports to the Associate Registrar, Policy and Academic Engagement. This is a full-time, term position from July 7, 2025, to April 30, 2026, with a hybrid work location. Salary range: $76,622 - $122,396, with a hiring range of $76,622 - $99,509. Applications close on June 4, 2025.
