Duties

Safe Roads Engineering (SRE) strives to provide clients with services and products that are among the best in the industry. We specialize in design engineering, including overhead sign structures, bridges, noise walls, and traffic management plans.

SRE is looking to add a Manager, Traffic Plan. Our head office is in Aurora, Ontario; however, this role can be fulfilled remotely by someone in Alberta or BC. You will work alongside our existing engineering team and other divisions within the group.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of 1-5 people.
  2. Serve as the single point of contact with clients for traffic control plans.
  3. Ensure traffic control plans and associated studies meet contractual, provincial, city standards, and client requirements.
  4. Review and seal stamped TCPs and traffic control studies.
  5. Develop contacts with contractors to become their preferred provider of TCPs.
Qualifications
  1. Professional Engineer registered in a Canadian province, with the ability to obtain PEO registration within 6 months.
  2. Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD and RapidPlan).
  3. Deep knowledge of Book 7, BC MoTI TMM, and/or Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodation in Work Zones manuals.
  4. Excellent communication skills with clients, review agencies, contractors, and internal staff.
