Position: Manager, Tech Design (Fit & Spec)

We are seeking a Manager, Tech Design (Fit & Spec) to join our growing team in Montreal.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Receive samples from overseas;
2. Measure and note sample dimensions, mainly for plus size;
3. Analyze the fit of the samples on the model;
4. Execute required adjustments on samples;
5. Draw sketches illustrating the modifications to be made;
6. Return comments and sketches to suppliers;
7. Communicate daily by email with suppliers;
8. Explain and review designs and necessary modifications;
9. Coordinate with the production plant overseas;
10. Resolve any production issues;
11. Send additional information or sketches as needed;
12. Follow up on shipments overseas and ensure merchandise arrival;
13. Enter data related to QC (dates, supplier information, etc.);
14. Review inspection reports and follow up via email.

Candidate Profile:

• Highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in creating technical designs using Illustrator
• Experience with plus size or outerwear is required
• Bilingual in French and English; English proficiency necessary for communication with external clients
• 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
