Qualifications

  • 4 à 5 ans d'expérience en comptabilité publique ou en consultation fiscale.
  • Compréhension des principes de développement des affaires et de gestion.
  • Capacité à encadrer et à motiver les membres de l'équipe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple client facing engagement teams responsible for the completion of tax engagements
  • Deliver industry and technical expertise taxation and assurancethrough client interactions, reports, technical work, managementpresentations and high-quality deliverables
  • Evaluate existing business processes and policies and advise onpolicy and tax changes; developing proactive tax strategies that makeeffective use of business opportunities and ensure businesses are runeffectively
  • Oversees corporate re-organizations projects to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Lead comprehensive in-depth tax research initiatives to analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations
  • Assist in the management of the administration of personal and trust tax compliance seasons
  • Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business,key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensuring their needs are metand that relationships and accounts grow and develop
  • Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well asproject financials (i.e. budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection andvariance recognition)
  • Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge toanticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’sbusiness, financial entries and reports
  • Network in the local business community, consider businessdevelopment opportunities and contribute to the preparation and deliveryof competitive proposals to meet client needs
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional andpersonal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedbackand conducting performance reviews
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • CPA designation
  • Completion of Level 1 of In-depth Tax Program and other specialist development courses
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of Canadian Tax
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
