We’re looking for a Manager, Talent and Development to lead the design and delivery of future-focused talent strategies that build a high-performance culture and fosters employee and volunteer engagement. This is a leadership role with direct influence on how WinSport attracts, grows, and retains the people who make our mission possible.

As part of our Team & Culture division, you will lead a team responsible for the full employee and volunteer lifecycle—from attraction and onboarding to learning, performance, and engagement. You will work cross-functionally with leaders and HR Business Partners to develop programs that strengthen leadership capability, enhance team effectiveness, and build organizational capacity.

Key Outcomes

  • Talent Strategy & Organizational Capability
  • Develop and lead a forward-looking talent strategy that supports WinSport’s long-term goals and builds organizational capacity.
  • Provide strategic oversight for the development and implementation of programs that support succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement
  • Design and deliver inclusive recruitment strategies to attract, select, and retain diverse, high-performing employees and volunteers.
  • Enhance onboarding, recognition, and engagement programs to drive retention and strengthen WinSport’s employer and volunteer brand.
  • Learning, Development & Performance
  • Implement organizational learning and leadership development programs that build essential skills and support team member growth.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and growth through performance frameworks that promote feedback and development.
  • Develop recognition and engagement initiatives that reinforce organizational values and motivate performance.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team delivering talent, learning, and volunteer engagement programs across the organization.
  • Collaborate and align with leaders across departments to embed talent strategies into operational and strategic plans.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and project plans for all talent-related initiatives and programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in HR Management, Business Administration, Adult Education or other related fields of study.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Human Resources, with a strong background in Talent Management, Learning and Development, or Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading teams.
  • CHRP designation is considered an asset.

Skills And Competencies

  • Proven ability to design and implement talent, recruitment, and engagement strategies.
  • Skilled in leadership training design and delivery, with experience developing targeted leadership development plans.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, performance methodologies, and program evaluation.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills; comfortable engaging diverse groups.
  • Proficient in evaluating training effectiveness and applying data-driven improvements.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency with learning systems, talent platforms, and volunteer tools is an asset.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective influencer and collaborator across all levels of the organization.
