The Role

Cameco’s supply chain management (SCM) department is looking for a highly skilled and motivated manager, supply chain governance within our supply chain department reporting to the director, supply chain governance and enablement to oversee the integration, maintenance and effectiveness of critical enterprise systems. This role will also be responsible for managing a team of specialists, annual planning process for supply chain operations, driving risk management, KPI reporting, and ensuring adherence to quality management standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure that all enterprise systems are aligned with business objectives and that key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and maintain the critical enterprise systems, such as SAP S4, Fieldglass, and ISNet, ensuring seamless data flow and system compatibility across the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Manage system performance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, collaborating with IT, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure systems are operating optimally.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for system usage, ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices in conjunction with the process owners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving system functionality, user adoption, documentation and overall performance.
  • Further develop, implement, and maintain a risk management framework for the supply chain function, proactively identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on operations.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Ensure alignment of KPIs with business goals and strategic objectives, adjusting targets as necessary to reflect changes in the operating environment.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust quality management system for the supply chain function, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with quality teams to monitor and improve processes, ensuring that quality issues are identified, documented, and resolved promptly.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and the adoption of lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks to enhance operational quality.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, systems integration, governance, and/or project management, with a focus on enterprise technologies.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered (optional).
  • Strong understanding of system integration processes, data flow management, and enterprise system architecture. Proven experience in managing supply chain planning, risk management, KPI reporting, and quality management systems.
  • Occasional travel to northern Saskatchewan and Ontario operations.

Recommended:

  • MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with SAP, Fieldglass and ISNet integration and management is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
