Were looking for an innovative and results-oriented leader to join our Human Resources team as the Manager Strategic Talent and Organizational Development .

This role will be instrumental in advancing Sheridans mission to create a supportive inclusive and engaging workplace. Reporting to the Director Total Rewards People and Culture the Manager will lead critical talent management and organizational development efforts ensuring that we continue to deliver client-focused and innovative HR programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the Manager and in collaboration with a talented team of HR professionals you will :
  • Drive innovative HR programs that enhance employee development engagement and internal mobility recognition while addressing the evolving needs of our workforce.
  • Support workforce planning and organizational design initiatives to ensure Sheridans teams are structured for success and prepared for future.
  • Strengthen Sheridans employee value proposition to attract and retain top talent in a competitive landscape.
  • Build and deliver learning leadership development and engagement programs that support employee performance and career confidence.
  • Partner across HR and organizational leadership to deliver holistic best-practice HR solutions that are collaborative client-centered and aligned with Sheridans values.
  • Support the integration of advanced HR technologies to optimize employee performance and deliver cutting-edge talent management solutions.

  • The successful candidate will also meet the following qualifications :

  • 4-year bachelors in human resources business or a related field or a 3-year degree / diploma with a post graduate certificate in Adult Education Organizational Development (OD) Organizational Psychology Business or other related field.
  • With a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field including 5 years of progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness leading talent workforce planning client services and business partnerships change management and leadership development-related initiatives and programs within a complex unionized / non-unionized organization (Or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Prior HR management experience in a unionized environment. Including recruitment selection performance assessment and guidance of subject matter experts.
  • Project management experience including various tools & methodologies
  • Understanding of HR theory and practice / functionality
  • Experience in policy development and administration
  • Skilled in developing initiatives that cultivate an inclusive work environment enhance psychological safety and uphold equity and diversity principles.
  • The following certifications are desired or preferred : Strategic Workforce Planning Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) Certified Organizational Development Professional (CODP) and / or Coaching Certification (any program affiliated with ICF)
