Job summary

Electronic Transaction Consultants Corporation is seeking a Manager, Strategic Finance to support M&A, financing, and capital markets activities. You will build financial models, perform due diligence, and assist with transaction execution across acquisitions, debt refinancings, equity raises, and IPO readiness.

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or private equity.
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills; expert-level Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to support M&A opportunities, such as three-statement, valuation (e.g. DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and merger models.
• Prepare investment memos and board materials for acquisitions.
• Support debt financing processes, including lender/investor materials, covenant and credit agreement analysis, and scenario modelling.
• Support equity capital raises, including coordination with underwriters and legal counsel.
• Support up-listing, cross-listing, and IPO readiness workstreams.
• Support investor relations activities, including preparation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and responses to analyst/investor inquiries.
• Partner with Legal, Accounting, and external advisors (investment banks, auditors, law firms) on deal execution and documentation.
• Prepare presentation materials for the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
• Conduct industry, competitor, and market research to inform strategic decisions.
• Perform ad hoc strategic finance analysis as required.

Overview

The Manager, Strategic Finance is an individual contributor role responsible for supporting the company's M&A, financing, and capital markets activities. Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Professional finance designation (CPA or CFA) required
• MBA is an asset

Experience and Skills

• 5–7 years of relevant experience, with meaningful time in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or private equity
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills; expert-level Excel
• Exposure to debt financing and/or equity capital markets
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and corporate finance principles
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce board-ready materials
• High attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and sense of ownership
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking
• Exposure to infrastructure, construction, and/or technology industries are an asset
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
