Reporting to the Associate Director, Stewardship and Signature Events, this role is key to shaping memorable moments that leave lasting impressions.

Required Skills

You will:

  • Leads the event management and execution of stewardship, cultivation, and recognition events;
  • Project manages various facets of the team, which may include managing team’s workloads and appropriate event portfolios, oversight of event objectives, guidance for event logistics whether it be virtual or in-person events, following event protocols and processes, post-event reconciliation, and more;
  • Manages high-profile stewardship, cultivation, and recognition events in the portfolio that steward past and present Board Members, Campaign Cabinet members and our most generous donors and prospects;
  • Provides onboarding and leadership to the Stewardship Events team by assisting them in their development, coaching and mentoring;
  • Builds meaningful and effective relationships with relationship managers, donors, prospects, vendors, volunteers and sponsors and provides excellent customer service at all times;
  • Works collaboratively with various Foundation and Hospital Teams to build strong relationships to ensure a successful outcome of all events;
  • Works in collaboration with the Associate Director to develop and manage event budgets which includes providing budgetary recommendations, accurate budget tracking and identifying cost saving opportunities;
  • Oversees the event outlook for each quarter and works closely with Fundraisers to determine best timing to execute;
  • Is comfortable using technology to manage event process, project management and use different platforms to run virtual events and webinars;
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting on event performance and pipeline impact
  • Proficiency with CRM database to ensure event data integrity
  • Ongoing review of processes and documents including SKF Main Event Calendar and other activities;
  • Participate in team discussions and provide input in team process, plan administration and program implementation.

Qualifications:

While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:

  • Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated experience with event planning, marketing and business development skills and execution
  • Minimum two (2+) years of leadership experience managing a team responsible for executing multiple events simultaneously
  • Post secondary certificate/diploma in Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, Project Management or another related field;
  • Experience managing vendors and holding others accountable for meeting timelines and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a high volume of projects, set objectives, and manage to results.
  • Experience with industry event and project management systems and CRM platforms;
  • Proactive leadership style to identify opportunities and work within department and across organization to advance business.
  • Commitment to driving innovation and strategic thought leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities;
  • Superior written and oral communication & presentation skills;
  • Display sound decision-making, resourcefulness, creativity and flexibility;
  • Demonstrated strong client/customer service orientation with the ability to understand and respond to various levels of expectations from diverse stakeholders.

Total Compensation Package:

Hiring Salary Range: $81,251 – $101,566; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $116,803. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Manager, Stewardship Events.
