Job description

Manager, Statutory Transfer Pricing Governance and Controls

Reporting to the Senior Manager, STP Governance and Controls. This position will prepare responses to queries from internal and external parties that demonstrate RBC's compliance with internal and external policies, laws and regulations. It will also enable the end-to-end Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) process for RBC through execution on global projects within the Implementation and Policy Management and Compliance teams of the RBC STP group.

What will you do?

  • Manage the information gathering process for audit queries by collaborating with business, finance, legal, compliance, and taxation teams to efficiently obtain necessary information.
  • Ensure timely and complete responses to audit queries, referencing source data and illustrating RBC's comprehensive view of STP activities.
  • Work proactively with finance and business teams across platforms and with the STP team to prepare audit-ready binders for transfer pricing audits.
  • Coordinate and facilitate enterprise-wide STP projects related to policy management, implementation, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain the framework and governance structure for the STP team aligned with the operating model.
  • Develop legal entity reporting for Transfer Pricing transactions.
  • Assist in key process improvement initiatives for STP.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • At least 3 years of audit, finance, or transfer pricing experience within an accounting firm, financial services organization, or relevant industry.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with operational aspects and understanding of the end-to-end transfer pricing process.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and general TP laws applicable where RBC operates.
  • Familiarity with RBC financial reporting systems and tools such as Oracle and Tableau.
  • Accounting designation such as CA/CPA/CMA.
