Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Sponsorships & Pop-ups Manager to join the team on site at our Halifax Shopping Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Duties

As the Manager, Sponsorships & Pop-ups, you will be responsible for creating miscellaneous revenue for the Centre and ensuring business activity is aligned with the Centre’s brand identity. You will lead various initiatives to develop sponsorships and media relations, advertising, leasing temporary spaces, and arrange vending. Using your passion for quality design and merchandising standards, you will accomplish the following duties:

  1. Prospect vendors for temporary leasing, branded sponsorships and other miscellaneous income including media and vending
  2. Develop new and innovative ways to increase revenue for the Centre while maintaining high standards of presentation and service
  3. Maintain a robust database of clients, vendors and new contacts to be used for generating business relationships
  4. Represent the Centre in the community in order to build external relationships
  5. Liaise with Marketing and Operations to maintain branding strategies and develop new revenue opportunities
  6. Establish open and constant communication with all temporary tenants
  7. Regulate temporary tenant compliance with Centre rules and regulations regarding merchandising
  8. Document and administer the leasing of retail merchandising units, kiosks, in-line spaces, storage agreements and other miscellaneous revenue components
  9. Negotiate lease rates with potential vendors
  10. Create and effectively manage the Centre’s Specialty Leasing budget, including resolving discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner, monitoring revenue, allocation of funds and coding invoices
  11. Remain well informed of recent developments in permanent Leasing and how it may impact the Specialty Leasing Program and the Centre
  12. Other duties as assigned
Requirements

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are strategic, creative and can successfully utilise their strong interpersonal skills. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:

  1. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field
  2. 3-5 years of retail leasing or related experience
  3. Business development experience in building Sponsorships & Pop-ups portfolio
  4. Retail Management experience an asset
  5. Real Estate/shopping centre knowledge and/or accreditations
  6. Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint & Excel
  7. Excellent customer service skills
  8. Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  9. Proven self-starter
