Role Overview

Lead the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team, providing leadership in developing Mastercard’s fraud detection capabilities. The role involves managing a Java-based platform with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration with development, operations, and release teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for mission-critical fraud platform solutions.
• Lead and motivate software engineering teams, ensuring high-quality, well-tested code delivery.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development, platform, operations, and release management.
• Drive engineering excellence, architecture, and performance optimization.
• Ensure timely solution delivery and advise on design, enhancements, and implementation.

Required Skills

• Experience in Agile software development and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of software best practices and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate teams.
• Experience with high-volume transaction applications and scalable system development.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Java/JEE, REST, gRPC, and SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), and scripting (Bash, Ruby).
• Knowledge of security protocols, network protocols, and cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS is a plus).
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with messaging systems (MQ, JMS), business rules engines (IBM ODM, JBoss Drools), and performance monitoring.
• Experience integrating vendor and open-source products into complex systems.
