Eldorado Gold is seeking a Manager of Social Performance to lead social strategy across operations in Greece, Turkey, and Canada. The role involves developing social performance strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of social performance in the mining sector and will be responsible for aligning operations with company values and local community expectations.

Location : While our HQ in Vancouver is preferred, we are open to diverse applicants from across Canada who will be a great addition to our culture here at Eldorado on a remote basis. We also welcome candidates eligible to work from our Amsterdam office.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Social Performance will play a critical role in advising and leading efforts related to the company’s social performance strategy across its operations in Greece, Turkey, and Canada. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the company meets the requirements for maintaining and enhancing its social license to operate, particularly in the areas of community development, human rights and permitting activities, like environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA).
Based at the company’s headquarters in Vancouver, BC, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that manage the social performance of the company’s operations, ensuring that all activities align with the company’s values, local community expectations, and regulatory frameworks. This role will also involve translating complex technical permitting requirements into clear, accessible language for diverse stakeholders, fostering engagement, and helping to navigate permitting and regulatory processes. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with sustainability and community engagement teams to ensure that permitting strategies support the company’s commitment to responsible, sustainable mining practices. The role requires an in-depth understanding of environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and community relations within the mining sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Social Performance will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
Social Performance Strategy Development
Develop and implement comprehensive social performance strategies to support the company’s operations, focusing on community development, human rights, and community investment in Greece, Turkiye, and Canada.
Permitting and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Advisory (ESIA)
Social Management System Maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The salary range for this position is $148,500 to $181,500. The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, taking into consideration internal equity. Qualified candidates with the required qualifications and relevant experience can expect an offer between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. Progression toward the higher end of the range is based on higher qualifications and experience, or demonstrated performance in the role.
