Job description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will drive SMB sales (Small to Medium Business) through our shareholder banks across the assigned regional markets, to ensure meeting or exceeding pre-set yearly targets. The SMB sales targets include net new merchant targets, cross-sell to existing merchants targets, and an overall revenue target. You will manage a team of up to approximately 10 SMB Regional Sales Consultants in assigned territories, to ensure cross-functional collaboration, relationship management, and maximize winning of sales opportunities.

Location: You will be based in our Burnaby office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, SMB Regional Sales

Salary Range: $80K - $110K plus commission

What you'll do

  • You will achieve sales results by building a strong team through recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and retention of qualified sales team members. This includes planning and reviewing compensation, enforcing procedures, onboarding new consultants, motivating, and growing high-performing Sales Consultants.
  • Hold team accountable for managing assigned leads within the agreed Service Level Agreements & response timelines to ensure better lead conversion and relationship building with bankers and customers.
  • Encourage Sales Consultants to maximize revenue by engaging and prospecting with bankers and customers to exceed sales targets.
  • Develop internal and external partnerships, including with partner banks, to help achieve our goals. Provide input to Marketing and Product Development on key products and initiatives to close gaps in current offerings and client segments.

What you bring

  • 7+ years of strategic sales, account management, or business development experience with a proven sales record.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven success in an aggressive target-driven sales environment.
  • Understanding of strategic selling techniques with strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience with sales management methodologies, processes, and reporting.
  • People leadership skills, including cross-organizational collaboration and influence.
  • Ability to constructively confront issues and people.
  • Strategic thinking applied to business issues to drive results.
