Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the energy transition in Canada by deploying and managing CGF’s capital.
• Contribute to the analysis of critical minerals commodities and technologies to identify investment opportunities.
• Perform preliminary analysis of investment opportunities against the CGF mandate.
• Execute and conduct due diligence on investments in Canadian low carbon supply chain projects.
• Take ownership of diligence workstreams and be accountable for valuation and analytical work.
• Lead the preparation of investment recommendation papers for internal approval.
• Manage project execution aspects including budget planning and timeline management.
• Provide oversight and coaching to junior team members.
• Monitor investments and assist in value creation and disposition of portfolio investments.
• Cultivate a network of contacts within the investment and energy transition industries.

Required Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the mining industry or investment banking/corporate finance.
• Experience in impact investing is an asset but not required.
• Execution skills across business development and investment analysis on complex transactions.
