Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. As a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager, you’ll assist our clients with corporate and personal tax planning to benefit from tax savings and incentives. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Client Experience: Take ownership of client relationships, working directly with them, to strengthen connections and enhance overall client services.
  2. Strategic Tax Planning: Develop strategic tax planning solutions tailored to clients’ unique business needs.
  3. Tax Advisory: Help clients navigate the complexities of Canadian Tax Matters, including corporate provisions, compliance succession, and estate planning, as well as reviewing T1, T2, and T3 returns as part of your advisory role.
  4. Proactive Issue Resolution: Utilize your in-depth technical expertise in corporate and personal tax planning and compliance to effectively resolve tax-related issues.
  5. Mentorship: Coach and mentor a team of colleagues on tax compliance, helping them walk in clients’ shoes by discussing tax planning options.
  6. Business Development: Contribute to our growing tax practice by understanding the comprehensive needs of clients’ businesses. Identify and unlock new opportunities to meet their objectives and introduce them to our firm’s diverse offerings.

  • You develop and present new ideas, strategies, and tax solutions for clients, showcasing your dedication to providing exceptional client service.
  • You possess an interest in pursuing business development opportunities to grow the tax practice.
  • You’re recognized as a technical expert in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and compliance.
  • You actively seek opportunities to support others in their ongoing professional growth.
