We are seeking a forward-thinking Manager, Roads Services, to lead our Roads team in delivering high-quality infrastructure and service to our community. This role involves overseeing the planning, operation, and maintenance of roads infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to shape Cochrane's transportation future.

What You'll Do
As Manager, Roads Services, you will:
  • Lead and motivate the Roads team to ensure safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of asphalt, gravel, and concrete surfaces, along with traffic control devices
  • Manage operational planning and capital improvements for the short and long term
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for roads operations
  • Implement and promote the Town's health and safety programs
  • Collaborate across departments to improve transportation systems and address resident needs
  • Provide technical leadership in road design, construction, and traffic management
Who You Are
You are a dynamic, solution-oriented leader who brings:
  • A degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (CET, P.Eng., or PMP are assets). Relevant education and experience may be considered
  • 7+ years of related experience, including leadership in road operations or infrastructure management (municipal experience preferred)
  • Expertise in road construction, design standards (TAC, CSA), and traffic systems
  • Strong budgeting, project management, and communication skills
  • A people-first approach, with a passion for building high-performing teams
