We are looking for a Manager, Risk and Compliance supporting the Insurance Solution and Distribution Business Partner team.

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: London, Toronto, Winnipeg or Montreal.

Reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance, the successful applicant will play a key role in regulatory compliance and risk management for Canada Operations while supporting the business partner teams for Individual Wealth, Insurance Solutions, Wealth and Workplace solutions. As the Manager, Risk and Compliance, you will provide independent oversight of strategic initiatives, operations, and the regulatory risk management framework for these areas. You will work directly with the first line of defence to provide expertise and guidance on risk management and regulatory compliance to support the business in meeting their requirements. You will be a positive change advocate by suggesting and implementing improvements to the overall risk and compliance culture within the business.

What you will do:
  1. Manage and oversee risk and regulatory compliance for Insurance Solutions and Distribution.
  2. Execute obligations under OSFI E-13 Regulatory Compliance Management and E-21 Operational Risk & Resiliency, providing oversight, expertise, and guidance.
  3. Support strategic initiatives, monitor regulatory requirements, and advise the business on impacts and controls.
  4. Assist in implementing risk and compliance programs, collaborating with first line risk & controls teams.
  5. Maintain awareness of regulatory changes, interpret legislation, and communicate updates effectively.
  6. Provide oversight to strengthen risk and compliance culture and support change management initiatives.
  7. Assess the effectiveness of risk and compliance controls, report issues, and ensure remediation.
  8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage compliance risks.
  9. Prepare data and reports for global compliance and risk teams.
What you will bring:
  1. At least 5 years of experience in compliance or operational risk within financial services; second line experience is an asset.
  2. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience, with strong technical and business acumen.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and adapt.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset, required for Quebec.

The salary range is $84,900 to $155,700 annually, excluding variable compensation. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with a minimum posting period of 5 business days.
