Responsibilities

Deloitte's GES practice seeks an experienced tax professional leader to design and operate employee reward programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance to clients and internal teams on employee rewards, incentive arrangements, and executive remuneration for private and public companies.
  • Advise on tax and social security requirements, providing technical concurrence calculations and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Identify opportunities for tax savings and advise on equity, bonus, pension, or other compensation plans.
  • Align compensation and benefits programs with clients’ talent and business strategies and market needs.
  • Conduct analysis of deferred compensation plans from domestic and international tax perspectives.
  • Support M&A remuneration planning, due diligence, structuring, and post‑closing incentive plan design.
  • Assist clients in implementing, revisiting, and optimizing plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Recommend technology solutions to improve efficiencies, streamline processes, and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
  • Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials.
  • Master’s degree in Tax or an accounting designation.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience supporting the design of compensation and equity programs (asset).
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence in employee & employer tax matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and effective team leadership.
  • Client‑facing experience with capacity to bring new ideas.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, in English and French.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize solutions.
  • Interest in guiding and coaching junior team members.
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem‑solving.
  • Canadian passport; travel required, occasional international travel.
  • Flexible schedule; willingness to work overtime when needed.
