Job Details

LOVE Ramen? Menya Kouji Group is looking for an experienced server manager who can work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. We seek individuals who are friendly, honest, hard-working, proactive, and flexible with shift availabilities and have a knack for hospitality.

Work location: Downtown Vancouver or Chinatown.

Wage: Starting at $20/hour ($18/hour during probation period) + Tips. Wage will be negotiated after successful completion of probation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service.
  2. Lead and support the serving team, providing guidance and training as needed.
  3. Ensure high standards of customer service and handle any guest concerns professionally.
  4. Maintain a positive and energetic work environment.
  5. Manage scheduling, staff performance, and workflow efficiency.
  6. Assist in processing orders and payments using POS systems (TouchBistro, Clover, Moneris).
  7. Uphold restaurant policies and ensure team punctuality and professionalism.
Requirements:
  1. Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a server supervisor/manager in a restaurant setting.
  3. Serving It Right certification.
  4. High energy, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  5. Punctual and reliable.
Assets:
  1. Multilingual abilities (Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, etc.).
  2. Ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills.
  3. Experience with TouchBistro, Clover, or Moneris POS systems.
  4. Strong common sense and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
