The Vice-President, Research & Innovation (VPRI) portfolio supports the University of Toronto as a top public research university in the world. Under the direction of the Director, Research Analytics, the incumbent manages the delivery of data, reporting and analytics, and provides information to support planning, policy formulation, and decision-making in order to further the academic mission of the University.
The Manager will lead and coordinate data analysis, investigations, and assessment projects that enable stakeholders at various levels to make data-driven decisions. Through strong relationships with partners and by working collaboratively with teams across the Division of the Vice-President Research and Innovation, and across the institution, this position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to senior leadership, supporting effective decision making. The incumbent will possess the knowledge and expertise to effectively manage projects that use and develop the University’s data systems.
The Manager will facilitate access to information maintained in the institution’s administrative and research information systems to support University operations and monitor key indicators, ensuring the integrity of data/information released in reports or studies. The incumbent manages data collection and data analysis relative to university priorities, manages the compilation of data and manages the submission of required reports regarding university activities.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Quantitative Social Sciences, Information, Data Sciences, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. A strong project management background with a strong emphasis on analysis, metrics, and business intelligence.
