Job description

  • This position may be located at any Liberty location

This position is the owner of gas compliance maintenance plan standards and reporting, and is responsible for monitoring adherence to standards, working with gas utilities to correct deviations from standards for preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring gas compliance reporting, working with gas utilities to correct discrepancies in compliance reporting, providing leadership for prioritization of gas operations / engineering related technology enhancement requests, and championing gas operations / engineering related technology enhancements that are in progress. This position may have direct reports and provides leadership for team members across the gas utilities.

Accountabilities

  • Act as the owner of standardized compliance maintenance plans, work and compliance matrix, and associated process workflows and documents. Monitor adherence to gas compliance standards and work with gas utilities to correct any deviations from standards for preventive and corrective maintenance. In collaboration with the gas utilities and IT, determine the need for changes to gas compliance standards and lead the change management process.
  • Act as the owner of gas compliance reporting and work with gas utilities to identify and correct discrepancies in reporting. In collaboration with the gas utilities and IT, determine the need for changes to gas compliance reporting and lead the change management process.
  • Provide leadership for the prioritization of gas operations / engineering related technology enhancement requests. May manage, coach, lead direct reports. Champion gas operations / engineering related technology enhancement requests and work with executive leadership to secure funding. Serve as the champion for gas operations / engineering related technology enhancements that are in development.
  • Identify areas of risk and facilitate development of mitigation plans with gas utilities, leadership, IT, and other stakeholders. Develop / implement corrective action plans for resolution of issues and provide recommendations / guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Facilitate and monitor implementation of mitigation plans until closure. Support regular reviews of work order status for all gas utilities and annual scheduling and planning reviews.
  • In collaboration with the gas utilities and IT, identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience within natural gas industry
  • Team Lead experience – demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
