Title: Manager, Regulatory Capital Reporting, Non-Retail

This role has a responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Regulatory Capital components for Non-Retail lending on- and off- balance sheet positions for the total Bank. This role involves significant engagement and coordination with key stakeholders in GBM, GRM, IT, Audit etc.

The role requires subject matter expertise in Basel III capital reporting, with excellent Excel and PowerBI / SQL skills as well as extensive understanding of OSFI's Capital Adequacy Reporting guidelines.

The Manager will provide support to calculate risk-weighted assets (RWA) impact requests (at borrower, industry, country level etc.), help various counterparts in producing and reconciling regulatory reports, work with audit on sampling and control support files, and actively participate in automation initiatives.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1. Provide support to the Senior Manager in the preparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory capital reporting, including internal MIS reports to senior management, ad hoc requests and variance commentary using Excel, Power BI and SQL queries.
2. Prepare and post monthly adjustments. Ensure accuracy in reported RWA and expected losses (EL).
3. Support systems changes or new programming requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), by developing business requirements, test cases and expected results.
4. Provide support in migrating reports and MS Access queries to the new Regulatory Capital Reporting platform and build subject matter expertise of its capabilities.
5. Review legacy reports and queries for opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy.
6. Maintain and/or create documentation for non-retail reporting processes to address compliance requirements (e.g. SOX, EUC, RDARR, RCSA, RRTOM, desktop procedures).
7. Participate in the continuing RWA optimization initiatives proposed by GRM and Finance.
8. Develop ongoing innovation in building new management and variance reports that will lead to faster analysis during extremely tight external deadlines.
9. Work with counterparts in Precision Lender, Client Profitability, Credit360, GBM and other teams to communicate RWA calculation rules, identify differences in methodologies, and help with data mining. Support creating training materials.
10. Provide value-added analysis to highlight any capital implications of new data systems.
11. Contribute to Bank’s participation in QIS studies as initiated by BIS consultative documents.
12. Support other project teams in implementation of ongoing regulatory changes.
13. Make recommendations to the Senior Manager on improvement opportunities in the existing methodologies and processes.
14. Assist in other ongoing and one-off projects related to Regulatory Capital reporting as and when required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

1. University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business, with at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in a cross-functional environment. Accounting designation is an asset.
2. Experience in credit risk management preferred.
3. Good understanding of the Basel III framework and OSFI’s CAR Guidelines.
4. Exceptional attention to detail.
5. Good knowledge of database management software, such as MS Access and Power BI, to facilitate manipulation of large volumes of financial data.
6. Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office suite products.
7. Solid financial modelling skills.
8. Skilled in conducting UAT and development of test cases.
9. Experience in process automation and reconciliations.
10. Familiarity with Non-Retail exposures and products will be beneficial.
11. Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work long hours as demanded by tight reporting deadlines.
12. Superb self-motivation and work attitude, excellent organizational and time management skills.
13. Strong communication skills.
