Black Diamond Group’s Finance & Accounting department has a full-time position for a Manager, Record to Report.

This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.

Under the direction and guidance of the SVP Finance, the Manager, Record to Report works collaboratively with members of the business unit and accounting team to ensure optimal redesign of key processes, system design and implementation as part of our ERP transformation project. This role will oversee the specific sub processes including financial accounting, period close and consolidation activities, and tax and treasury.

The Manager will manage the Record to Report team, work closely with fin tech to guide financial system redesigns including EPM, and ensure that the finance department achieves the set out benefits and streamlined processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead ERP Transformation in Finance:

  • Spearhead the finance stream of the ERP transformation project, focusing on aligning financial processes with the new ERP/EPM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the ERP system meets financial reporting, accounting, and operational needs.
  • Ensure that the ERP system provides comprehensive financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Manage the end-to-end ERP implementation for R2R processes including general ledger, financial close, financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure alignment of the ERP/EPM systems with corporate strategies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Financial Oversight:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the finance team during the ERP transformation, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
  • Work with senior management to define goals and KPIs for the transformation, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations, reporting, and close cycles, leveraging ERP/EPM capabilities to maximize efficiency.

Change Management & Training:

  • Help lead change management efforts to ensure that the finance team is fully aligned with new systems and processes.
  • Assist with training programs to finance personnel on the use of the new ERP/EPM systems, focusing on new processes and tools.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the finance team post-implementation, ensuring smooth adoption and continued system optimization.

Financial Data Integrity & Reporting:

  • Oversee the migration of financial data into the new ERP system, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, audit requirements and completeness.
  • Drive the establishment of financial controls within the ERP system to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all financial matters related to the ERP transformation project, ensuring regular communication with key stakeholders.

Collaborate with IT and external vendors to resolve any system-related issues and to optimize system performance for financial needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, etc., preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in leadership positions involving ERP transformation, system implementation, or financial system redesign.
  • Expertise in finance processes and financial systems, particularly ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements (e.g. IFRS, SOX).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong change management capabilities, with experience leading teams through technological change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale, global ERP transformations.
  • Familiarity with advanced financial automation tools and integrations.
  • Experience in financial system optimization and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role overseeing ERP transformations for finance.
