Job summary

Airbus Atlantique Canada Inc. in Mirabel is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Operations Quality teams on the G7500 and A220 programs. You will ensure products meet BMS/QMS requirements and collaborate with engineering, methods and operations to drive sustained quality.

The role focuses on reducing non-conformances, maintaining KPIs, and enforcing procedures to meet customer requirements. Willingness to travel may be required as part of site duties.

Qualifications

• University or College Studies Diploma in aeronautics.
• Ten years of experience in an aeronautical environment.
• Experience in personnel management.
• Experience in Quality (Supplier Quality, Operations Quality or Quality Assurance) is an asset.
• Be bilingual French/English.
• Have project management skills.
• Master the Office Suite & Google and be familiar with EN/AS9100 standard.

Quality Manager.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Director of Airbus Atlantique Canada, the incumbent will manage the Operations Quality teams composed of supervisors and their inspectors on the G7500 and A220 programs. The mission is to ensure that manufactured products meet BMS/QMS requirements. In collaboration with engineering, methods and operations. The Manager must ensure momentum in reducing produced non-quality to achieve company standards and deploy mechanisms preventing the export of non-quality to customers.

Your challenges:

• Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety rules and implement corrective measures when necessary;
• Foster a maximum level of performance and commitment within their team;
• Act as a focal point and technical authority for their team and other trades;
• Contribute to resolving technical difficulties;
• Implement means to respect delivery deadlines and Quality requirements;
• Support team members in daily tasks (problem solving, technical support, motivation);
• Actively participate in improvement actions of all types (team functioning, perimeter performance);
• Monitor the progress of corrective action requests on non-conforming products;
• Be the focal point for all Quality issues in their perimeter;
• Establish and maintain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators);
• Exchange with operations (quality and production) on reported non-quality incidents;
• Respect the group's quality management system processes;
• Collaborate with partners and clients to achieve objectives;
• Preparation and Management of the team budget;
• Ensure compliance with procedures, client requirements and regulations;
• Represent the quality function to SQCDP (DMM) teams (via their personnel) and factory (in person);
• Initiate and monitor improvements to quality processes and procedures.

Missions:

Your profile:

• Hold a University or College Studies Diploma in aeronautics;
• Ten (10) years of experience in an aeronautical environment are required;
• Experience in personnel management;
• Experience in Quality (Supplier Quality, Operations Quality or Quality Assurance) is an asset;
• Be familiar with product inspection methods, assembly methods, manufacturing of various parts in the assembly of aeronautical structures;
• Be bilingual French/English;
• Have project management skills;
• Master the Office Suite & Google and be familiar with the EN/AS9100 standard;
• Be autonomous. Demonstrate initiative, a sense of organization and time management;
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with unforeseen situations, emergencies and a certain pressure.

Working conditions:
