Job Responsibilities

The Property Manager will perform functions to ensure properties are maintained and operated in accordance with company objectives and facilitate solutions to problems between communities and internal support staff, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards
  • Conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct
  • Provide management and leadership to properties within the assigned region and book of business
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop and communicate goals
  • Ensure company and client goals are consistently met
  • Manage teams across different properties while maintaining standards of excellence
  • Oversee process improvement and quality control of property management functions
  • Provide leadership and assist in resolving issues that arise
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the Board of Directors and internal departments
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements
  • Maintain harmonious employee/employer relations
  • Stay informed of changes in rules, statutes, or regulations and communicate these to staff
  • Train staff on new procedures as required
Education & Experience
  • Hold a General License in good standing
  • RCM or recognized property management designation
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Condominium Manager
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience in financial accounting, reporting, and budgeting in commercial real estate
  • Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and building management is an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
  • Knowledge of the Condominium Act and community operations
  • Strong organization, leadership, management, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures, leases, and regulations
  • Knowledge of building mechanical operations preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Availability for emergency on-call, after-hours service, and evening meetings
Travel

Travel to the head office is required.
