If so, we want to hear from you!The Mayflower Curling Club, one of Nova Scotia's most established sports institutions, is entering an exciting new chapter. We're relocating to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in the vibrant and fast-growing community of Timberlea, just minutes from downtown Halifax. Our new home features an eight-sheet curling rink, a modern entertainment lounge, and a versatile banquet and event space.We are seeking a forward-thinking General Manager / Promotions Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Club and help position it as a premier destination for both curling and community events. This is a newly created role that offers the opportunity to shape the member experience and drive growth in both club membership and external event rentals.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage club operations with a focus on delivering an exceptional member experience.Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement strategic objectives in areas such as inclusiveness, membership engagement, and growth.Develop and execute innovative marketing and promotional strategies to increase event bookings and banquet revenues.Foster a welcoming and accessible environment for all members and guests.Manage a small team with a hands-on leadership style that promotes collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.About You:You bring proven experience in marketing, promotions, sales, and event operations-ideally within the food and beverage or hospitality industry.You have a successful track record of team leadership, preferably in a club or member-based setting.You are a strong communicator with a customer-first mindset and a commitment to inclusion and community-building.Familiarity with curling or sporting events is an asset, but not required.Why Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to be part of something new and exciting from the ground up.
