About this opportunity :

The Manager, Project Engineering will lead the project engineering team for Husky Midstream inimplementing small and medium projects to maintain safe and reliable operations and achieve business growth priorities. This role will require strong leadership skills focused ongetting results, continuous improvement, development of staff, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture. A strong background in project management including project delivery models, processes, and procedures for small, brownfield projects is critical to the success of this role.

What you’ll do :

Lead, mentor and supervise team of project engineers, technologists, and students to improve team effectiveness and deliver performance targets, ensuring all projects are performed safely and effectively with appropriate cost and schedule control

Manage expense and capital project portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range plans, and ensuring expenditures extract business value for Husky Midstream General Partnership (HMGP)

Foster a highly collaborative “one-team” culture and inclusive environment internally and between departments

Establish and maintain key working relationships within HMGP, Cenovus, and vendors

Filter and focus team activities and external requests to set priorities and hold the team accountable to them

Develop KPIs and reports to hold team accountable to performance targets and to communicate status updates to external teams and executive leadership

Participate in the development of business strategy and matters of strategic importance, including Emergency Management and occasional on-call Deliverables :

Develop and drive team goals, vision, and strategy

Set and align team KPIs, standards, processes and procedures

Complete annual and long-range plan budget, forecasts, schedules and workforce planning

Provide performanceevaluations and continuous team development

Who you are :

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :

Legally authorized to work in Canada

12+ years’ experience in engineering, construction and / or project management in Oil & gas or relevant industry

Registered . or Professional Licensee P.L. (Eng.), in good standing with APEGA and APEGS or equivalent experience with professional technologists and strong project and / or leadership background

Strong leadership skills with ability to develop staff and strengthen performance

Experienced with project portfolio, budget management, and decision-making

Proven collaborator and problem-solver, able to optimize business processes considering the needs of all stakeholders

Experienced with project management, construction, and commissioning processes and delivery models for very small projects up to large projects and how they differ to drive efficiency

Working knowledge of industry best practices, standards, engineering specifications, codes and regulations pertaining to pipeline and terminal facilities in Alberta and Saskatchewan including CER regulated pipelines

Knowledgeable in Management of Change (MOC) and operational integrity management systems Qualifications

Experienced as a Responsible Member, providing direction and supervision to staff practicing the profession of engineering according to a Professional Practice Management Plan considered an asset

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
