Your role :

  • Preparing various technical publications, such as updates on accounting and assurance standards and other relevant topics
  • Preparation and delivery of content for conferences, training sessions, and webinars
  • Assisting with quality reviews of engagement files and financial statement technical reviews
  • Responding to technical queries from member firms by providing research and practical solutions to accounting and assurance issues
  • Assisting with engagement templates development and maintenance, as needed
  • Participating in learning, development, and quality improvement initiatives as needed
  • Please note this position involves some travel within Canada

What you bring to the table :

  • CPA designation required
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience at a manager level in a public accounting firm
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, ASPE, ASNPO), knowledge of PSAS would be an asset
  • Previous experience in leading teams and overseeing staff on multiple engagements, including carrying out engagement quality reviews and financial statement technical reviews
  • Experience in a professional standards role preferred
  • Interest in independently researching complex accounting and assurance issues
  • Ability to coordinate, execute, and take ownership of multiple projects
  • Strong working knowledge of CaseWare
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence and professionalism when liaising with senior members of our firms and network
  • French language skills are an asset but not required
