Qualifications

Job description: Responsibilities

  • Partner respective Business Groups to identify sourcing needs and deliver timely procurement support
  • Review the deliverables of appointed external consultants (including M&E Engineer and Quantity Surveyors)
  • Oversee the quantity surveying function for new developments and existing properties, including analysing cost estimates and evaluating tenders
  • Prepare pre-tender, tender, cost and contracts administration for development and procurement works
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend new Contractors and/or Suppliers that meet the Business Groups’ requirements based on the selection and qualification process
  • Analyse and prepare cost estimates for decision making
  • Monitor market dynamics and identify marketplace trends that impact material/services availability and pricing
  • Assist in review and negotiation of contract details and maintenance of all contracts
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor and manage variation orders with contractors to ensure project costs are kept within the approved budget
  • Prepare project financial and cost reports and final accounts for internal and external reporting
Requirements
  • Degree in Building or Quantity Surveying
  • At least eight years continuous working experience with a single Quantity Surveying Consultancy or MainBuilding Contractor
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Highly resourceful, independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
