Role Overview
The Manager, Data and Reporting will collaborate with the Global Risk Management (GRM) Portfolio Monitoring team and stakeholders to develop and maintain standardized regional automated reporting solutions. This role requires a project-oriented mindset with attention to detail, engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure scalable solutions that drive business impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated regional reports supporting GRM LATAM, IB Special Accounts Management, and Wealth Management teams’ Portfolio Monitoring activities.
- Support strategies to enhance reporting effectiveness and quality for decision-making, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strengthen the Risk data and Portfolio Monitoring team by benchmarking global standards and promoting standardization across countries.
- Improve reporting capabilities by enhancing analytical programs, migrating reports to common platforms, and enabling self-service and ad hoc reports.
- Collaborate with IB subsidiaries to identify automation and digitization opportunities in reporting, leveraging Toronto office expertise.
- Assist in data gathering and extraction for quality assurance and reporting activities for GRM LATAM.
- Utilize policies, processes, and technology to maximize profitability while adhering to the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
- Foster a customer-focused culture to strengthen relationships and leverage broader Bank resources.
- Create an environment promoting operational efficiency, compliance, and risk management in line with Scotiabank’s values and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in financial institutions.
- Background in mathematics, IT, or financial engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau is required.
- Experience with SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn) is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is an asset.
