Job description

Role Impact :

The Manager, D&T Planning and Governance is responsible for enabling IT strategic planning and performance reporting within the Data & Technology department. The role supports the Director, D&T Planning and Governance by driving activities such as departmental planning, governance, reporting on strategic initiatives, and communicating D&T portfolio progress to senior leadership.

This role will develop strategic communications that highlight the value and impact of the company's technology initiatives to senior leadership and the broader organization. The candidate should be able to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders, emphasizing technology's strategic importance.

This is a fixed-term contract for several months.

What you will deliver :

Strategy Planning & Governance :

  • Partner with the Director to lead IT strategic planning and develop a cohesive annual work plan.
  • Create and manage planning methodologies and toolkits.
  • Facilitate technology prioritization with business and D&T leadership.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly calibration of the work plan, engaging all D&T teams.
  • Oversee a monthly business review to discuss progress and forecasts.
  • Operationalize the D&T governance framework and ensure committee standards are met.
  • Support senior leadership in planning technology strategies and initiatives.
  • Align project roadmaps with strategic goals to identify gaps and obstacles.

Executive & Corporate Communications :

  • Design engaging quarterly reports showcasing department performance and achievements.
  • Create narratives around major technology projects emphasizing business outcomes.
  • Collaborate on presentations articulating technology vision and priorities.
  • Prepare briefings on emerging technology trends and opportunities.
  • Draft company-wide announcements on technology rollouts and updates.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google productivity tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
